Qu remains fully operational on the terminal in the event of an internet outage, credit cards can be processed offline, and checks may be closed. Orders may be sent to the kitchen, and sharing checks between terminals will not be affected so long as there is no impact to the local network. However, it’s important to note that checks will be queued locally on the terminals until the internet service is restored. Once internet connectivity is re-established, checks will be posted to the Qu cloud and visible in Qu Reports.
Note: Qu Reports will be updated with all checks once the store's internet connection is restored.
Additionally, if the EMV reader does not process transactions while offline, you may need to manually disconnect the terminal from the internet by unplugging the Ethernet cable.
