How do I Update Menu Prices? (Next Gen)

It is often necessary to update your menu prices. You can Update two prices using two different methods

  1. Individually, or,
  2. in Bulk

Individual Method

To Update Item Individually:

  1. Navigate to the Menu Groups and select the menu group that will receive the price update
  2. in the Global definitions section, find the item that you will be editing and click on the pencil to open its configuration page
  3. In the price section, select the appropriate definition from the available list (if there is only one, you will see the default definition
  4. Update the price of the item
  5. Click Save

If the item includes item path definitions (listed above the price), you will need to go to each path to update the price (if applicable). Updates to global definitions do not update item paths.

Bulk Price Editor

To update Items using the Bulk Price Editor:

  1. Navigate to the Menu Groups and select the menu group that will receive the price update
  2. In the upper right side of the screen, click the Actions dropdown
  3. Select Price Bulk Editor
  4. In the new window, click add items and select the item(s) that you will be updating. You can also click Show More Fields to set additional filters for your results. These additional fields include:
    1. Related Items
    2. Current Price
    3. Price Type
      1. All (default)
      2. Base Price
      3. Portions
      4. Weighed
    4. Context

  1. Click Search
  2. From the listed results, select one or more of the items you would like to update and click Use Selected Item(s).
  3. Select an Option from The Price Update Rules:
    1. Fixed Amount - To increase or decrease the price by a set dollar value.
    2. Percentage - To increase or decrease the price by a percentage amount.
    3. Replacement - To replace the price with a dollar value.
  4. Enter a value into the text box (If you would like to decrease the amount, use the minus sign (e.g., -0.50).
  5. Click Preview to verify the new amount.
  6. Click Save to confirm the changes.
