Assigning an Employee Mag Card to a User

Follow these steps to assign an employee mag card to a user.

  1. Tap the hamburger button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen

  2. Tap the More button

  3. Tap “Assign Credentials”

  4. Use the search textbox or swipe up/down to find the employee on the list.

  5. After selecting the employee, swipe the employee card. The system should have populated the Mag Stripe Card ID field with password symbols. If nothing happens when you swipe the card, tap the Mag Stripe Card ID field (The textbox will turn white) and then swipe again.

  1. Tap the Save Changes button.

  2. The system will respond to changes saved, and your swipe will be available for use.

If you make a mistake and need to revert to the original PIN or Mag Card Id, you can tap Reset Mag Card ID or Reset PIn BEFORE tapping Save Changes. If you need to remove the Mag Card from the user, follow the steps in the Remove Mag Card from User section

Using the Mag Card

Logging in

To log in with the Mag Card:

  1. Swipe the mag card

  2. Tap Log in

  3. If prompted, select the employee job title and tap Clock In & Log In

Manager Approval

When prompted for manager approval: 

  1. Swipe the card. If the manager has sufficient access, not further action is required.

Remove Mag Card from User

Follow these steps if you need to remove the mag card from a user’s account:

  1. Login to https://admin.qubeyond.com

  2. Click on Employees

  3. Find the employee in the list and click on the pencil next to their name

  4. Erase the text from the Mag. Stripe Card ID field

  5. Click Save. The user will no longer be able to use their employee card to log in or perform manager related functions on the POS.
